Bernabei Freeman - 'Geometric'

The cantilevered staircase follows the consistent shapes of the workshop rooms, reflecting the geometric nature of Bernabei Freeman's designs particularly the 'Pop Light'. The glass perforations in the concrete treads enhance the link to the Pop Light and create a greater flow of light in the underground room. The open nature of the staircase allows the user to see into the room as you enter from different angles, due to the octagonal shape.

Auto Fabrica - 'Exposed' 

Auto Fabrica place an emphasis on exposing their bikes, particularly so in Type 7A, this floating staircase has link to this design feature. It does so through the exposed hanging supports inspired by the spokes. The staircase also continues above the classic workshop floor level to provide an exposing view over their workshop through the glass floor and walls.
